Shopper accounts

Shoppers can create an account or sign in using a one-time email code. We store the verified email address, account creation date, hashed sign-in codes and session credentials, and request limits to protect sign-in. Codes expire after 10 minutes and sessions after 30 days or sign-out. A secure first-party cookie keeps you signed in. Orders are linked using the email supplied to Stripe at checkout. Signing in does not subscribe you to marketing.

Partner applications

We collect the name, email, requested storefront name and optional website or social profile submitted in the application. We store them privately to review applications and contact applicants about their storefront. Application contact consent does not enroll you in marketing emails. Approved storefront names appear publicly.

Checkout and orders

Stripe handles payment details and the delivery information used for checkout and tax calculation. Our database records product and variant identifiers, amounts, payment status and notification records. Paid orders store the recipient name and shipping address privately for fulfillment. We do not copy card numbers.

Cookies and service providers

Checkout uses a first-party cookie to associate the browser with its checkout session. Visiting a partner storefront sets a 30-day referral cookie identifying that storefront. The latest storefront visit is used for attribution when a checkout quote is created. Our hosting provider stores the site and its database. Stripe provides checkout, processes card details so we never see or store them, and calculates sales tax from the delivery address. Product, stock and shipping information comes from our suppliers and fulfillment partners. A shipping quote sends the selected product, quantity and destination ZIP code to them. When we place an order for fulfillment, the recipient name and shipping address are sent to them so the order can be delivered, and delivery tracking updates come back from them. Sign-in emails for shoppers, partners and store staff are sent by an email service provider. To ask about or request deletion of your data, email support@shopdealspott.com.

Contact and policy completion

Partners may save a PayPal payout email in their private dashboard. We store it privately for payment administration; entering it does not send information to PayPal or verify account ownership. For privacy questions, email support@shopdealspott.com. Contact us for questions about your stored information or to request its correction or deletion. Order and payment records may need to be retained for accounting, disputes and fulfillment.
